Your Coffee. Your Brand. Over 11 Million Possible Blend and Roast Combinations.

How many ways are there to create your own coffee?

At Ublend®, 14 available origins, different blend percentages and variations in roast profile create an enormous range of possibilities.

Using 10% increments, with every recipe totalling 100%, there are 1,144,052 possible blend compositions containing two or more origins.

Allowing for 10 different roast profiles per composition takes that figure to 11,440,520 theoretical blend-and-roast combinations.

Finding your coffee starts with deciding what you want in the cup.

The Origins Are Only the Beginning

Choosing which origins to include is the first step. Deciding how much of each to use is just as important.

The same three origins could be combined in several ways:

Blend 2

Each recipe uses the same coffees, but changes their contribution to the finished cup.

One composition may emphasise body and depth. Another may bring more sweetness, brightness or aroma. The result depends on the coffees selected and how they work together.

Our calculation allows each of the 14 origins to contribute 0%, 10%, 20% and so on, with the complete recipe adding up to 100%. An origin at 0% is simply left out.

Roast Profiles Add Another Dimension

Blend composition determines the ingredients. The roast profile helps develop their flavour.

A profile includes how heat is applied over time, the progression through the roast and the point at which roasting finishes.

Adjusting those settings can change the expression of sweetness, acidity, body and roast character—even when the blend percentages stay the same.

For illustration, allowing 10 roast-profile variations for each composition produces more than 11.4 million possible combinations.

This is a mathematical illustration of the scope for development. Every recipe and roast profile needs evaluation before it becomes a coffee we recommend.

How We Find Your Blend

We begin with your preferred flavour direction and how you plan to serve the coffee.

You might want a rich, chocolate-led espresso for milk drinks, a sweet and rounded everyday blend, or something brighter for black coffee.

From there, we select suitable origins, set their percentages and develop a roast profile. Tasting guides the refinements, helping us bring the ingredients and roast together into a balanced cup.

You don’t need to explore millions of recipes. We help narrow the possibilities around your customers and your business.

Make a Test Roast With Build Your Own Blend

A recipe is a starting point. A test roast lets you taste your idea.

Our Build Your Own Blend offering gives you the opportunity to explore your chosen composition and roast direction in the cup.

Try the coffee as espresso and with milk, assess its flavour and finish, and use that feedback to guide the next step.

Choose Your Packaging

Once the coffee is right, its presentation brings your brand to life.

Options can include 1 kg bags, 250 g bags, 250 g tins and Nespresso®-compatible capsules, subject to suitability and applicable minimum orders.

Packaging doesn’t change the blend calculation, but it gives you more ways to build your range—from café supply to retail shelves and online sales.

Your Coffee. Your Brand.

The origins, percentages, roast profile and packaging all contribute to your finished product.

Whether you want one signature café blend or a broader retail range, Ublend® can help develop a coffee that reflects your business.
