A Journey to the Heart of Coffee Engineering
This October, the Ublend management team travelled to Milan for HOST 2025, the world’s largest trade event dedicated to the coffee, foodservice, and hospitality industries.
It wasn’t just another trade show — it was a reunion of craftsmanship, technology, and shared passion. The trip coincided with a milestone celebration for our long-standing partners at Brambati S.p.A., marking 80 years of engineering excellence in roasting and processing systems.
80 Years of Brambati — Looking to the Future
Visiting Brambati’s headquarters in Codevilla, Italy, was a moment of reflection and inspiration. The Italian engineering house that powers much of our roasting infrastructure is a living example of what can be achieved through family values, technical mastery, and relentless innovation.
Their motto for the anniversary — “Guardando al futuro” (“Looking to the Future”) — says it all. Eight decades on, Brambati remains one of the few manufacturers controlling every stage of the process, from milling to fully automated roasting plants. Their dedication to sustainability, precision, and quality mirrors our own philosophy at Ublend.
12 Years with Brambati — Engineering Excellence in Partnership
Our relationship with Brambati S.p.A. spans more than twelve years, and it continues to be one of the most important foundations of our roasting operation. From the day our first Brambati system fired up, the partnership has been about more than machinery — it’s been about shared values: precision, consistency, and the pursuit of excellence.
Over the years, Brambati’s world-class engineering and support have enabled us to evolve from a capable roastery into a state-of-the-art production facility — one that can roast with scientific accuracy while preserving the artistry that defines great coffee. Their commitment to continuous innovation has meant that our equipment has never stood still. Every upgrade, every control-system refinement, and every process improvement has kept our roastery on the cutting edge of both efficiency and quality.
Working so closely with the Brambati team has also given us something rarer than technology — trust. Knowing that our roasting plant is backed by a global leader with eight decades of expertise gives us confidence to keep pushing forward, scaling up, and setting new benchmarks for our industry.
As Brambati celebrates its 80th anniversary, we’re proud to celebrate our own twelve-year journey with them — a partnership built on respect, engineering brilliance, and a shared vision for the future of coffee.
HOST Milano 2025 — Innovation Everywhere
At the HOST exhibition itself, innovation pulsed through every hall. From new-generation espresso machinery to cutting-edge packaging automation, the energy was unmistakable.
Our focus was clear: discover technologies that can streamline Ublend’s production, enhance our sustainability footprint, and deliver even more value to our private-label partners and café clients.
We met with roaster manufacturers, capsule suppliers, and packaging specialists from across Europe — each encounter sparking new ideas for how we’ll shape Ublend’s next stage of growth.
Reflections from the Floor
Automation meets artistry. The next decade in coffee manufacturing will belong to systems that combine data, efficiency, and creative flexibility.
Design still wins hearts. From bag aesthetics to booth architecture, Milan reaffirmed what we already live by — presentation is part of performance.
Sustainability is now central, not optional. Every serious player in Milan had a clear environmental message; it’s the new language of quality.
Gratitude & Inspiration
Our heartfelt thanks go to Brambati for their hospitality, warmth, and the reminder that engineering can be deeply human. Standing beneath that red wall celebrating “80 anni guardando al futuro”, we felt both the weight of history and the pull of what’s next.
For Ublend, this trip wasn’t just about machines — it was about connection, vision, and continuing to blend tradition with progress, craft with scale, and coffee with identity.
