Thinking of launching your own coffee brand? Here’s a quick-start checklist to get you from idea to shelf — fast.

  1. Define Your Brand

    • Who are you targeting? What do you stand for? Your brand identity will guide your flavour, design, and tone.

  2. Choose a Coffee Format

    • Beans, ground, or Nespresso®* compatible capsules? Start with what suits your customers best.

  3. Pick Your Blend

    • Go with a ready-to-go blend or develop a custom roast. Taste test, cup it black and in milk, and choose what fits.

  4. Design Your Packaging

    • Decide on size, finish, and whether to use a label or fully printed bag. Include your logo, story, and key details.

  5. Understand MOQs

    • Most private label programs start at 50kg. Plan your volumes and reorder cycles.

  6. Plan for Storage & Delivery

    • Where will you keep your coffee? Will you sell retail or online? Choose valve-sealed bags for freshness.

  7. Set Pricing & Margins

    • Know your cost per unit and target retail/wholesale price points. Keep it simple and profitable.

  8. Prep Your Launch

    • Get product photos, write your brand story, and train your team on how to talk about the coffee.
